Our 2021 Southern Illinois District convention has been postponed a year because of the state restrictions on meetings during the Covid pandemic.
Several other of the 35 districts of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod face similar restriction, making it difficult to prepare for a Synod Convention in 2022.
The Synod Board of Directors is asking for a referendum vote to decide about delaying the convention to 2023. A quorum of 25% of Synod Congregations must vote before February 15, 2021 deadline.
